NFL Kick Off 2013-2014 Season

The wait is over, Thursday night the Superbowl champs Baltimore Ravens will be at Mile High to face the Denver Broncos in a rematch of last years AFC playoff game.  Last year the Ravens tied the game with under a minute remaining and sent it to overtime where Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning basically threw away a magical season with an interception and the Ravens kicked a field goal to win the game and later won the Superbowl. Kick off is at 8:30 ET. On NBC.

The rest of the games will be played Sunday Sept. 8th.  There's going to be alot of players and teams because of a bunch of trades, coaching changes and injury recoveries.  Robert Griffin III is starting week one after knee surgery and rookie quarterbacks Geno Smith and EJ Manuel will start.

Lebron James to Produce Sitcom

After winning two back to back championships with the Miami Heat, you'll never guess what Lebron James is doing next.  Lebron is teaming up with STARZ to produce a sitcom called "Survivor's Remorse".  Although the king won't star in it he will have a huge part pitching in his ideas and experiences.  This will not be about Lebron's life.  The sitcom is about two men that succeeded, one is in the NBA and the other is not they also show how they handle friendship and family in result of their success. Lebron put out a statement saying " I think the main thing for me is making it out of a place where you're not supposed to.  You're suppose to be a statistic and end up like the rest of the people in the inner city and being one of the few to make it out and everyone is looking at you to be the savior."

At 18, Lebron dealt with a huge amount of pressure, being drafted number one overall by his home team the Cleveland Cavaliers.  People saw Lebron has a savior to Ohio, because Ohio had been heartbroken numerous times in sports history.

Allen Iverson Officially Retires From The NBA

Allen Iverson is getting ready to officially retire from the NBA in a few days.

At the age of 38, Iverson last played professional basketball in Turkey in 2011.  And played his last NBA game with the 76ers in 2010.

Allen Iverson has had an illustrious career, accomplishing things that most players haven't. In 13 years he's had averages of 41.1 mmg, 26.7 ppg, 6.2 apg and 2.2 spg; 71-game Playoff averages 45.1 mpg, 29.7 ppg, 6.0 apg and 2.1 spg.  He's also won one MVP, four scoring titles, and was named an All-Star 11 times.

Allen Iverson has had a remarkable career and, he will truly be missed from the game.

NBA releases 2013-2014 schedule

The Champions Miami Heat will open up against the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday, October 29th. It's Derrick Roses first game back from tearing his ACL in April 2012. Will we see a healthy Derrick Rose?

Doc Rivers makes his coaching debut with the Los Angeles Clippers against inner city rival Los Angeles Lakers.  With the Dwight Howard-less Lakers how will they bounce back from there bad break up.  Will Kobe Bryant be ready for the season opener after tearing his Achilles tendon during last years playoffs?

The "Truth" Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett make there debuts as members of the Brooklyn Nets against Kyrie Irving and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Christmas Day will feature 5 great NBA games, starting with Chicago at Brooklyn (noon ET. ESPN). Followed by Oklahoma City at New York (2:30 ET. ABC), Miami at Los Angeles (5 pm ET. ABC),Houston at San Antonio (8pm ET ESPN). With the finale of Clippers at Golden State.(10:30 pm ET. ESPN)

There is alot of hype surrounding this upcoming season and alot of teams have something to prove. Which team you think has the best chance to hoist the Larry O'Brien trophy?
